News, study background and media resources for Melonga
Melonga is a CE-marked digital therapeutic for premature ejaculation, developed by Prognoix Health B.V. It is the subject of CLIMACS, a randomised controlled trial conducted with the Department of Urology at Philipps-Universität Marburg, presented at the EAU Congress 2026 in London.
Mean change in PEP score, vs. +0.03 in the control group (p<0.001)
Average IELT before and after the 12-week programme
Men randomised 1:1 in the CLIMACS trial; 66 complete datasets analysed
CLIMACS is a randomised, unblinded controlled trial evaluating Melonga for the treatment of premature ejaculation (EP), led by PD Dr. Christer Groeben. Eighty men were randomised 1:1 to twelve weeks of the Melonga programme or a waitlist control; the control group was subsequently offered access to the app. Sixty-six participants submitted complete questionnaires for analysis. The trial is registered with the German Clinical Trials Register (DRKS00032774) and was sponsored by Prognoix Health B.V.
Primary endpoint (PEP score): mean change of +4.4 in the intervention group vs. +0.03 in the control group (p<0.001).
IELT: mean between-group difference of +75.7 seconds vs. +0.5 seconds in the control group (p=0.001); intervention-group IELT rose from 61 to 125 seconds on average.
SQoL-M (sexuality-related quality of life): +13.4 points in the intervention group vs. −0.1 in the control group (p=0.009).
PEDT: at 12 weeks, 24.2% of analysed participants (16 of 66) scored ≤8 on the Premature Ejaculation Diagnostic Tool, indicating a low likelihood of clinically significant EP.
Results were presented at the EAU Congress 2026 in London (13–16 March) and at the DGU Congress 2025. A peer-reviewed full publication of the final results is not yet available and is in preparation. Melonga is a CE-marked Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745; it is intended to support self-management of premature ejaculation and does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.
