While Melonga is developed for all premature ejaculation patients and their partners, it is currently available only on prescription in Germany as it is a medical app is regulated software as a medical device.
What is an App on prescription?
An app on prescription is a special category of digital mobile or web app that is a regulated software as a medical device for safe and effective medical care.
How can I get a prescription for Melonga?
Currently, Melonga app only available to patients enrolled in CLIMACS clinical study. This is due to special agreement we had with the relevant ethics bodies to ensure priority is given to clinical study participants. From Jan 2024 (expected), a patient in Germany can get prescription of the app from any practicing doctor or psychotherapist.
Why is Melonga only available on prescription?
As a software medical device, prescription apps such as Melonga undergo rigorous quality, safety and clinical scrutiny to ensure all patients that need the app receives it.
It says Melonga is only available in Germany. Does it mean it will not work for people from different ethnic background?
Melonga should work safely for all PE patients (irrespective of their ethical or cultural background, or gender).
I am travelling to Germany and a doctor here has just prescribed Melonga to me. Can I still legally use it?
Sure, although some features of the app are geographically restricted to work only within the EU due to privacy and cybersecurity reasons. We will not be able to provide technical support for users who are based outside of Germany.
Melonga app is available via Apple® App Store or Google™ Play store.

- Downloading Melonga app
To download our app, you need to visit the app store of your device and search for our app name. You can also scan the QR code on our website to access the app store directly.
- Launching for the first time
To launch our app, you need to tap on the app icon on your device screen and follow the instructions to create an account or log in with your existing credentials.
- Using the app
To access our app features, you need to tap on the menu icon on the top left corner of the app screen and select the option you want. You can also swipe left or right on the app screen to switch between different features.

To start a therapy session, you need to tap on the therapy icon on the menu and choose the type of therapy you want. You can also customize your therapy preferences and goals on the settings icon on the menu.

How can I install Melonga app?

I do not have a smartphone or a tablet. Can I still use Melonga app?
Melonga app is available only on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets for functionality and security reasons. Therefore, it is also important that you are familiar with using a smartphone or a tablet to use Melonga properly.
Still, you can use Melonga by borrowing a smartphone from your spouse or a friend, or renting one from your telecom provider. Some third-party companies that seems to rent smartphones in Germany are listed below (we have no affiliation with them, and use them only at your own risk):
